Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I get out of this deal?

For a full breakdown of everything, click here. But in a nutshell, you get to see a digital copy of the film that you've helped fund. If you're curious, you can follow the entire filmmaking process along with us. You'll be eligible to win things like getting your name in the film and other kooky stuff. And you get to be part of a filmmaking revolution, which is pretty cool too.

How do I donate?

That's an easy one. Just click here! We're set up to accept paypal or any major credit/debit card.

Are you some kind of Communists?

We just think that everyone out there with a great script and heaps of talent should be able to make and share their film unencumbered by the return-demanding requirements of investors and the market-driven decisions of distribution companies. So if that's what you mean, then get out your brush and paint us red, you red-painting weirdo.

I donated. This means I'm an investor, right?

By donating, you're not actually investing in or owning the film in a legal sense. So no, you're not entitled to profits, if that's what you're thinking. But on the bright side, you're not liable in the event we get sued or something, either. Read the fine print in our terms and conditions.

What's your timeline?

Pre-production begins in March 2011. Shooting begins June 2011.

Got a contingency plan?

Although we are working overtime to avoid "Plan B", we recognize that it instills confidence in our supporters that we are realistic enough to consider this point. So, the answer is this: if we don't raise 35% of our budget by March 2011, we will not be able to shoot a film that meets our quality standards. In that scenario, we will either return the money, or donate it (minus production costs already incurred) to Carbon Footprint, UNICEF & Just a Drop. Your choice.
